The Sr Systems Developer (JIRA Administrator) is a high-performing contributor that works on the design and development of complex systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals. This role will participate in the evaluation, customization, implementation, and support of purchased applications and work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.

  • Participate in the evaluation, customization, implementation, and support of purchased applications.

  • Design, code, test, install, and support significant enhancements to existing application systems and small subsets of development projects or purchased applications.

  • Provide on call support under the guidance of senior team members; troubleshoot and correct straightforward and routine system problems/abends.

  • Perform high quality analysis consistently.

  • Find ways to assess and apply innovative ideas to enhance business results.

  • Confer with users and/or IT colleagues to resolve questions on program intent, output, and input requirements.

  • Analyze workflow charts and other data and apply logic of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic to develop a sequence of program steps.

  • Prepare written instructions of program run procedures and documentation of all programs developed; analyze, diagnose, and investigate questions and problems and take the necessary steps to develop, implement and document corrective action.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate technical, system, and process improvements.

  • Analyze, review, and rewrite existing application programs to increase operating efficiency and/or adapt to new requirements.

  • Gather and analyze information for developing and modifying systems. Translate information into systems designs.

  • Prepare detailed program specifications, design conversion tasks, and schedules.

  • Translate specifications into a logical process that includes logical design, coding, testing, documentation, etc.

  • Ensure adherence to and the application of IT established standards, procedures, tools, etc., in the maintenance of all application programs and required documentation.

  • May participate on IT project teams.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

  • 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2-4 years job specific systems analysis work experience with an emphasis on IT Service Management systems.

  • 2+ years’ experience with Jira & JQL

  • Familiar with Confluence & OpsGenie.

  • Perform user and group account administration in partnership with SailPoint Access management team.

  • Support SOX Audit activities and administration of Cloud backup activities.
