Job Objective:
The Manager Communications & Events role is a first level-manager that oversees the day-to-day activities of a Communications & Events team. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning and the execution of community management of multiple company brands.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
· Manage all aspects of event planning and scheduling and contract negotiations.
· Maintain event project management to ensure engagement and transparency to all stakeholders and attendees, initiate critical milestone meetings, and establish accountability and responsibility for projects.
· Build and maintain event standards and guidelines to drive consistency.
· Oversee the development of marketing materials including content and creative for merchandising, social media, literature, etc.
· Accountable for accuracy of all marketing materials and ensure all information is current.
· Oversee the development and implementation of marketing events strategies to increase brand awareness.
· Establish, reconcile, and manage event budgets and project planning expenses.
· Interact and communicate with internal and external customers.
· Manage show recruitment, invitations, and VIP communications and pre- and post-show communications plans.
· Make decisions on behalf of the team within the parameters of the unit or sub-unit.
· Recommend changes to unit or sub-unit policies.
· Provide direction to team according to established policies and management guidance.
· Oversee day-to-day work schedules and plans.
· Act as an advisor to unit or sub-units and may become actively involved in resolving problems.
· Exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies.
· Review relevant factors to analyze situations and resolve issues.
· Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
· 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
· 1-3 years of management experience.
· Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Spark, and Premiere.

· Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
· Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
· High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
