Dal-Tile is currently seeking an eager and motivated Plant Manager to join our TEAM! As a Plant Manager, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as directing daily plant operations, optimum plant efficiency, and maximize profits.

Directs and coordinates plant activities to obtain optimum efficiency, economy of operations and maximize profits

Major Function and Scope

Establishes, monitors, and facilitates efficient production and quality standards to meet logistic schedules.

Ensures compliance with all Safety, Quality and Governmental requirements.

Oversees implementation of manufacturing schedules, QC and Preventative Maintenance programs, and production standards.

Plans, develops and implements long-term strategic planning of manufacturing goals, personnel development, and business objectives.

Establishes, maintains and analyzes budgets, records, and other controls to keep costs at a minimum consistent with efficient operations.

Reviews financial/purchasing performance of the plant.

Ensures appropriate training of organization as needs are identified.

Ensures safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment.

Coaches and reviews performance of direct reports.

Supports company affirmative action plans and goals.

Experience and Knowledge Required

Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years manufacturing plant management experience and high school diploma /associate degree.

Knowledge of ceramic industry and/o urethane quality standards preferred.

Knowledge of OSHA and/or environmental compliance.

Knowledge of general business practices and basic cost accounting principles.

Requires 8 or more years of previous manufacturing/industrial management experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in dealing with all levels of management and with resolving customer issues.

Competencies

Core competencies include strong communication and interpersonal skills, listening skills, organization, data analysis and interpretation. Strong leadership skills. Ability to plan, schedule, relate ideas, and coordinate priorities. Good computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentations.
