Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Commercial Sales Representative to join our TEAM! As the Commercial Sales Representative, we need someone ready to increase its market share in this fast-growing segment. The Commercial Sales Representative will increase sales by servicing existing customers and expanding the account base.

Base Pay is $33,300-$59,000 Annually + Monthly Commission*

  • This is our target range for new hires and we will consider other qualifications, including experience, skillset, etc., when making exceptions to the max listed.

Primary Objective

Increase market share and sales for the Dal-Tile brands through the commercial contractor customer base. Increase sales by servicing existing customers and expanding the account base through cold calling.

Major Function and Scope

  • Conducts daily sales calls - including servicing existing customers and cold-calling potential customers.

  • Follow up and expand business through tracking specifications and quotes on specified projects.

  • Collaborating with the specification team, branch, and national accounts to close leads.

  • In addition, will conduct on average 4-5 cold calls per week to job sites

  • Prepares daily and weekly “Sales” and “Call” reports through CRM

  • Develops monthly strategy for sales calls and executes monthly travel calendar based on that strategy.

  • Conducts area market analysis of top accounts in each area – including top commercial contractors, developers, general contractors

  • Research area market product data to determine the types, styles, and sizes most purchased in the area to determine sales strategy.

  • Grows market share by increasing sales and sales volume while maintaining company-approved product margin goals.

  • Completes daily call records through Salesforce, including key follow-up activities

  • Utilizes influence and negotiation skills to drive more product sales

  • Promptly conduct client follow-ups via phone calls, letters, and/or emails.

  • Establishes and maintains client files and performs timely follow-ups on programs and projects.

  • Provides PK seminars to customers frequently.

  • Utilizes company resources needed to achieve sales objectives.

  • Proactively searches for new areas of growth with every account

  • Performs other duties as required

Experience and Knowledge Required

  • A high school diploma and some college are highly preferred.

  • Computer skills include functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Salesforce.

  • A clean driving record and reliable transportation.

  • 4 years prior selling experience.

  • Prior flooring experience is a plus.

Competencies

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under little or no supervision.

  • Must possess proven interpersonal skills, including influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must exercise independent judgment and demonstrate solid time management and organizational skills.

  • Experience with the commercial segment is a plus.
