The Technical Operator is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and quality tile through excellent changeovers.
Personally drive changeovers and product testing according to ISO, OHSAS, and other standards.
Work with Plant Manager and Production Supervisor to prioritize color changes and effectively communicate with affected areas.
Proficiency in Projecta software, trouble shooting of computer software, pneumatics, and printer components.
Troubleshoot, change, and align print heads.
Identify and correct common printer quality defects.
Create changeover procedure/checklist to verify everything needed is available and ready for c/o and that it is done safely.
Report and exchange accurate information between shifts on c/o's started.
Verify, confirm, and/or adjust line setup before running a test and before production starts. Record reasons of downtime during c/o's.
Achieve any of the Target Shades.
Evaluate every test of color changes to determine if color is okay.
Using technical skills, propose changes on setup, application or formulas to achieve Target.
Record all changes made on every test.
Work with Group Lead and Supervisor to have resources needed to pull tests.
Once production has started, provide Technical Assistance if needed to keep consistent application or Shade.
When ink jet is not running, work on continuous improvement activities.
Perform other duties as required.
Education and Knowledge
High School diploma or equivalent
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or similiar field a plus
3-5 years experience in manufacturing required
Minimum of 2 years experience with large scale inkjet printing preferred
