Mohawk Industries Shift Manager II in El Paso, Texas
Follow and enforce safety procedures, standard operating procedures and quality policies and regulations. Ensures safe and healthy working conditions and ensures an organized work environment. Promotes and adheres to all safety and health policies and procedures within the plant.
Supervises an assigned work shift.
Plans and schedules work to meet production and quality requirements.
Maintains operations within established standards for cost, labor, maintenance, safety and housekeeping areas.
Checks production for below standard performance and takes necessary corrective action.
Assigns employees to jobs, instructs them in performance of work requirements and familiarizes them with Company rules and guidelines.

Ensure ergonomic risk factors are reduced to an acceptable level when feasible.
Lead injury/illness investigations, and ensure accurate root cause is identified and addressed. Where feasible, strive to ensure injured e employees do not return to a given job until the causative factors are identified and controlled.
Demonstrate safe work practices.
Promotes and adheres to all safety and health policies and procedures of plant.
Performs other related duties as required, including adjusting working hours as needed
Education & Knowledge:
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management/Mechancial/Industrial Engineering or another relatable field or equivalent experience in a manufacturing industry.
- 4 years of manufacturing operations experience; 3 years supervisory experience.
Strong written, oral and communciations skills
Organization, data analysis and interpretation, and the ability to prioritize.
Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, emails, spreadsheets and manufacturing databases.
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to seek resources and make decisions in a fast paced environment, meet tight deadlines, work with minimal direction and handle conflict in a positive manner.
Ability to train, coach and mentor.
Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, interpersonal and time management skills.
Self-motivated and task oriented.
Technical and mechanical understanding.
