Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Transportation Reporting Analyst to join our TEAM! As the Transportation Reporting Analyst, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support for data analysis using historical, current, and predictive views of transportation operations to communicate information supporting decision making across.

Primary Objective

Responsible for providing transportation financial and operational reporting and communicate analysis results and recommendations.

Major Function and Scope

  • Design data modeling/analysis services that are used to mine transportation systems and applications for knowledge and information that enhances business processes and decision making.

  • Develop reports and analysis from the acquired information and interpret patterns and trends.

  • Research, monitor and communicate market conditions which may impact capacity, cost, and service.

  • Support Transportation support functions in development, communication and implementation of strategic initiatives, projects and/or programs.

  • Develop strategies to continually assure Dal-Tile / Mohawk Industries is getting best price and service from our carriers.

  • Conduct trend analysis, lane analysis, supply chain analysis, and regional analysis to measure the identified initiatives designed to achieve incremental cost savings.

  • Utilize benchmarks to assist in procurement of transportation services at rates that are competitive in the marketplace.

  • Collaborate with internal teams on continual improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor carriers to ensure accountability of established KPI’s.

  • Administer transportation month end process

  • Collaborate with business development to expand our reporting in current and new transportation KPIs.

  • Performs other related analytical duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 2 or more years of accounting or finance experience.

  • Experience with SAP, SAP TM, and Power BI preferred.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to challenge and improve processes

  • Demonstrated analytical, process, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with external and internal stakeholders

Competencies

  • An individual who values accuracy, thrives in the details, uses critical thinking to find solutions, can prioritize work to meet tight deadlines and has an appreciation for process efficiencies. Have excellent Excel skills - ability to perform Excel modeling of new and existing reports. Able to learn several systems and extract data as needed. Capacity to work both independently and as a key member of cross-functional teams, at times in a project management role.
