Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Sr Systems Developer to join our TEAM!

Primary Objective

Major Function and Scope

  • Implementing world class store system for Dal-Tile (a division of Mohawk).

  • Leading the team in Developing Java/Jakarta EE that extends the IBM Sterling Order Management platform to provide web applications and integrations with external systems such as SAP, BizTalk, etc.

  • Working with business analysts and testers to understand business requirements and develop code to meet these requirements.

  • Taking lead on various development activities such as designing and developing specific business components using / customizing IBM’s order management out of the box features.

  • Technical leadership and mentoring of other members of the team. Reviewing code and organizing development tasks for the development team.

  • Development of integrations with external systems.

  • Development of unit and integration tests.

  • Strong focus on high-quality throughout the entire development process.

  • Working closely with our Quality Assurance team.

Experience and Knowledge Required

Ideal Candidates will have the following skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent.

  • 8+ years job specific work experience with demonstrated professional growth and achievement. Experience must include…

  • Min 8+ Years to develop web based front end solution using Java.

  • Min. 4 years professional experience using Jakarta Faces, Jakarta EE 9.1, JAX-RS and JPA.

  • Min. 8+ years professional experience in IBM Sterling Order Management (Next Gen), Store Inventory Management (SIM) and Inventory Visibility (IV).

  • Min. 2+ years of development experience in JSON & XML.

  • Min. 4 years professional experience using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS.

  • Experience with designing and setting up transactions, pipelines for all document types in IBM Next Gen Order Management Platform.

  • Experience with unit testing techniques and frameworks using Junit and Mockito.

  • Experience with Design patterns and N-Tiers architectures.

  • Experience with Oracle, DB2 & Postgres.

  • Experience with distributed version control system – Git.

  • Experience with build automation tools such as Jenkins, Maven.

  • Experience of system integrations using JMS, MQ Queue, web services (REST).

  • Experience with issue tracking tools such as Jira.

  • Experience and understanding of application performance tuning.

  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written.

  • Excellent soft skills and experience with customer facing activities.

  • Excellent team player and problem solver with a high level of self-motivation and initiatives.

Any of the following would be an advantage but not required:

  • Experience with IBM Cloud, Containers, Kubernetes, SCSS.

  • Experience with Visual Design.
