Dal-Tile is currently seeking an eager and motivated Safety Process Engineer to join our TEAM! As a Process Engineer, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as develop, implement, monitor, and sustain safety and health programs. As well as writing and teaching process procedures, accuracy of data reporting and implementation of procedures.

Primary Objective

  • Responsible for Safety and Health manufacturing processes , process reliability, accuracy of data reporting and implementation of procedure and process changes.

  • Major Function and Scope

  • Develops, coordinates, and/or conducts health, safety, and security programs.

  • Investigates and tracks job injuries and lost workdays.

  • Maintains OSHA Log and administers workers compensation documentation, records, and activity.

  • Conducts hazard and safety assessments and maintains applicable records.

  • Trains hourly personnel to perform activities affecting quality and manufacturing processes

  • Assists in writing and teaching process procedures to ensure corrective and preventative actions are taking place

  • Supports safety, quality, and process reliability systems

  • Accountable for problem solving in assigned priority areas utilizing corrective measures to maintain product quality standards

  • Ensures safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment

  • Supports the implementation of new manufacturing equipment

  • Tracks and Documents customer claims

  • Develops presentations as required

  • Performs other duties as required

Experience and Knowledge Required

  • At least 2 years manufacturing experience with supervisory and quality control preferred and 10 hours of OSHA compliance training or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Ceramic industry experience preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Ceramic, Mechanical or Industrial engineering preferred. Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control.

Competencies

Core competencies include strong communication skills, organization, data analysis and interpretation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to train and coach. Ability to coordinate priorities.
