DalTile is seeking a dynamic Regional Credit Assistant – Home Centers to assist the Regional Credit Manager in supporting both internal and external customer relationships. This team member will follow credit and collection policies, procedures and practices as outlined. This associate will make collection calls on overdue accounts, research and resolve customer chargebacks, reconciliation of customer accounts, and cash applications.

The major function and scope:

  • Contacts assigned customer to obtain payment of past due invoices.

  • Provides proofs of delivery and packing slips to customers as required for payment.

  • Researches and resolves customer chargebacks and fines

  • Issues credit memos, performs cash application and account reconciliation

  • Provides additional administrative support for assigned area including, but not limited to – aging reports, filing, correspondence, communication within and outside of department, etc.

  • Maintains all assigned accounts within established performance standards; actively participates and contributes to group quality improvement processes

  • Prepares spreadsheet analysis of accounts

  • Works across departments to identify and resolve billing errors

  • Updates procedural manual as policies and procedures change

  • Performs other tasks assigned by the credit manager

Knowledge, Education and Experience:

  • College degree preferred.

  • SAP experience preferred.

  • Advanced MS Suite skills ( MS Access, MS Excel and MS Word)

  • 3 or more years of A/R (collections & customer account reconciliation) specializing in “Big Box” retailers.

  • Cash application experience preferred

  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team.

Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid typing and 10-key data entry skills.

  • Ability to work independently, analyze information, seek solutions, and multi-task with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Strong ability to interface with all company departments as necessary.
