Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing company pricing matched with corporate strategic initiatives, market and business segment expectations to determine the ideal target price for products of the business. Duties include providing thorough analytical breakdowns with recommendations of pricing structures and/or customer segmentation. May also lead, facilitate, and/or train others on all aspects of all SSC’s brands pricing in regard to implementing and maintains pricing integrity and pricing publications. In addition, provides checks and reporting for all pricing prior to implementation

Summary:

  • Lead the effort in creating and utilizing company BI systems (DOMO and Zilliant) supporting and driving strategic pricing initiatives, projects, and analytics

  • Draft strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing projects and accurately slot new products at the right price

  • Create reports reflecting metrics (DOMO) and project status, objectives and barriers

  • Communicate findings effectively to relevant departments of the company

  • Lead the methodology and analytics in the creation, generation, and management of MAIP/MSRP/Showroom/List price

  • Work with the sales and marketing team to define pricing structure for company products

  • Address issues and concerns raised by team members relating to pricing suggestions

  • Be the lead and key resource for updating SAP Pricing / PIM and all Price Book Publications for all SSCs brands with direction from Product Marketing, Sales, and PIM with the majority of the related tasks to be executed by the Pricing Admin

  • Execute the tasks of new Product Launches and product updates including providing recommended pricing using Zilliant

  • Provide regular scheduled reports on margin based on ASP versus Customer Class Pricing for SSC Customers via Domo (or Zilliant).

  • Create quarterly (if not more often) pricing analytics to ensure customers are assigned to the correct classes based on sales, customer-type, and company strategy via Domo (or Zilliant)

  • Ability to troubleshoot pricing issues between all company systems.

  • Key resource to the pricing department on systems related to pricing and retain similar duties as systems migrations take place for future pricing efficiencies.

  • Understanding of SQL to read/write Domo queries

  • Continually work on process improvement for pricing in the company – Speed from price determination to implementation

  • Ad-hoc reporting as needed.

  • Performs other related duties as required or as directed by Executive team or General manager of SSC Sales Operations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; and/or equivalent training. Experience that of working knowledge of the, practices, procedures, and strategies of pricing. Knowledge of the operations of Sales/Service Centers a plus. Very knowledgeable in pricing principles

  • 2+ years of pricing or high-level pricing related experience. Reporting and analytics experience and keen understanding of data mining. BI experience preferred. Encouraged to have 2 years related experience in the operation of a Sales/Service center in the tile industry or in the durable consumer products industry

  • Self-Starter with a superior ability to communicate knowledge and ideas effectively to associates at all levels in the organization. Detail oriented. Ability to analyze data and apply results effectively. Self-starter with a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Above average to expert in Microsoft Office software applications (Excel & Access), SQL, Domo or other BI tools. Good negotiations and problem-solving skills. Effective reporting and presentation skills. Enthusiastic and proactive team player
