Dal-Tile is seeking an Information Services (IS) Project Manager who can manage a variety of top priority projects and lead the successful integration of the latest technology to drive Dal-Tile’s business forward. This experienced IS Project Manager will have the opportunity to manage Tier A Projects, that have been identified as top priority projects from senior leadership. You will develop projects plans, direct, and coordinate activities to ensure that goals and objectives are completed on time and within budget. You will partner and lead cross functional teams, including external vendors and project leads to accomplish deliverables that are essential to the continued success of Dal-Tile’s business.
Previous experience in a project leadership role, providing regular communication with all stakeholders, and developing detailed project plans is required for this position. Controlling the scope and expectations of the project is a priority of this position. You will be responsible for managing the teams that develop and accomplish internal IS projects, ensuring quality and integrity of information is consistent across the organization. Leading and mentoring a dynamic team is essential to the success of this position. The team will look to you for motivation and direction to resolve ambiguity. You will introduce leading technology to resolve current issues and adapt to the changing needs of Dal-Tile’s customers.
Education & Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus
MBA preferred or an equivalent combination of education and training
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or Master’s Degree, Certification in Project Management, or working towards attaining
Experience & Skills:
4+ years of work experience in one or more information technology functional areas
Minimum 2 years of IS project management experience
Experience leading diverse work team in a technology environment
Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), MS Project
Demonstrated experience and understanding of software development life cycle, dynamics of software implementation projects, Information Technology practices and methods
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the principles, techniques and methodology of project management, quality management, and change management
Project leadership within the SAP landscape considered a big plus
Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgement and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with internal and external customers and senior management
Maintains professionalism in accordance with corporate standards and comfortable resolving conflict
Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
Ability and willingness to accept responsibility, willingness to challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions, including the persistence and willingness to take calculated risk, to stimulate, market and sell new ides within the organization
Effectively leads and directs a diverse work group; to achieve results through team efforts, and the desire and ability to motivate, persuade and direct the activities of others
Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment
Maintain safety and ensure adherence to the Corporate Code of Conduct
Consistently proven ability to manage/implement projects and contribute to concept development
