The NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER develops new sales opportunities for the Dal-Tile National Account Program and supports Arch Reps ands Sales Reps with National Account efforts. Position will be based out of the Alexandria, VA SSC serving the Washington, DC Metro Markets and Greater Memphis, TN Markets.
Major Functions and Scope:
Researches and develops new National Account opportunities for designated market segments in assigned region.
Supports the efforts of local Arch Reps and/or Sales Reps in developing and monitoring of National Account specifications and construction activity.
Identifies new National Account sales opportunities.
Researches and identifies product and market trends.
Participates in trade shows and meetings related to National Accounts as required.
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with Mohawk counterparts in designated region.
Performs other related duties as required.
Travels throughout assigned region to call on Hospitality brands in DC and Memphis
Identifies and establishes relationships with the top design and procurement managers at all brands within Choice, Hilton, Marriott and Host.
Maintains design libraries in a clean well-organized manner physically replacing outdated sample tools. Placement of new products as soon as they are available. An inventory of marketing tools is to be noted by firm.
Pursues new and maintains existing Hospitality National Accounts with all the brands. Follows up and reports information monthly on progress with specifications including product forecast and construction schedules.
Emphasizes new product promotion during sales calls presenting actual loose product samples which best represent the product in lieu library cards.
Presenting and promoting the benefits of the Dal-Tile National Account Program at all times.
Network | Partner closely with the Durkan representatives for each brand.
Schedules regular product knowledge seminars with designers, using the proper presentation tools to clarify information i.e., product samples, power point presentation programs, and appropriate literature.
Develops in-depth knowledge and expertise with regard to all Dal-Tile brands, allied products, and installation methods by attending vendor presentations, workshops and attending joint sales calls with vendors.
Work closely with Director of National Accounts to develop strategy for establishing specs, building relationships and securing new business.
Attend trade shows for each brand, HD and BDNY.
Network with designers through NEWH and other appropriate industry groups and events.
Attends Large Project Tracking Meetings quarterly. Project information to be shared to ensure we are capturing all pertinent information and progress of the opportunity as well as closing sales.
Responds to the marketplace by providing value through being a knowledgeable tile and stone expert and providing quick follow up.
Performs all other assigned duties as required.
Education and Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Strong familiarity of Dal-Tile product lines, knowledge of Corporate product flow, manufacturing, sales and pricing structures.
Minimum of 2 years in Architectural or Commercial Sales for Dal-Tile products. Multiple market experience is a plus. Experience working with Marketing Managers, Planners and Customer Service Personnel.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prepare and present concise reports in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
